An exclusive series of outdoor rounds at some of the most storied private clubs in the region. Available to TGP members only, with more dates being added throughout the year.
We're starting the year in the rolling hills of Bucks County at a course that truly embraces the local topography. Designed by Dr. Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry, the layout is built right into the side of Jericho Mountain, forcing you to manage significant elevation changes on almost every hole. From the upper fairways, sweeping views stretch all the way into New Jersey.
Set on the former 230-acre estate of the Johnson & Johnson family in Princeton, this course feels like playing through a private botanical garden. The legendary Gary Player designed this track with deep bunkers and water hazards that demand strategic, aggressive play. "Jasna Polana" translates from Polish to "Bright Glade," and the neo-classical mansion on-site serves as one of the most impressive clubhouses in the country.
Philmont's North Course is a quintessential test of precision, known for its narrow fairways and fast, undulating greens. Designed by Willie Park Jr. — a two-time British Open champion and one of the most influential early architects in the sport — the club has served as a regular host site for U.S. Open Sectional Qualifying for decades.
Arguably one of the most photogenic courses in Pennsylvania, featuring a dramatic valley layout crafted by William Flynn — the architect behind Shinnecock Hills. The course rewards players who can shape their shots around the natural contours, and the 18th hole is a standout, finishing with a steep climb toward the historic manor-style clubhouse.
Tucked away in the quiet woodlands of Skillman, NJ, Bedens Brook offers a peaceful, meadow-like setting that feels completely removed from the outside world. Designed by Dick Wilson — famous for Bay Hill and the "Blue Monster" at Doral — the course is highly regarded for its subtle difficulty and impeccable conditioning among golf purists in the Northeast.
A Donald Ross original, with the real challenge lying in his signature "inverted saucer" greens that demand a very high level of touch on approach shots. Lulu offers a unique, rugged aesthetic that leans into a links-style feel with open spaces and distinct mounding — and the land itself was once a flood-prone farm before Ross used the natural drainage and hills to craft this world-class layout.
One of the oldest courses in the area, dating back to 1897. The course features a classic parkland flow with mature treelines and a design influenced by Desmond Muirhead. The clubhouse itself is a piece of American history — an active farmhouse that pre-dates the Revolutionary War and served as a local landmark long before golf arrived.
Famous for its rolling terrain and some of the most challenging elevation shifts in the region. This is a rare collaboration between two architectural titans: William Flynn provided the original blueprint, and Donald Ross later refined the greens and bunkering. The name is a direct tribute to the year the club was founded, honoring over a century of local golf tradition.
One of the great golf revival stories in Philadelphia. Originally a Donald Ross design from 1921, the course fell on hard times before the Union League of Philadelphia swooped in with an $8 million restoration, enlisting architect Stephen Kay to bring the layout back to Ross's original vision — widening fairways, removing overgrown trees, and restoring the bunkering. The result is one of the best-conditioned Ross tracks in the region, set on rolling terrain in Philadelphia's historic Northeast.
We're closing out the scheduled season at a beautiful track carved out of dense forest and rock outcroppings in Ringoes, NJ. Designed by Tom Fazio, the course is known for dramatic rock walls and incredible visual framing on every tee box. Consistently ranked among the top private clubs in New Jersey for its pristine conditions and sheer difficulty.
